Amongst various entertaining adventures, Cycling in Pokhara is getting hype these days. We have long been hearing the fact that the best way to explore somewhere is to walk. But why walk if you have a great alternative of renting the mountain bikes and cycling your way all along.
There are plenty of good routes in Pokhara where a well-organized cycling tour can be organized.
There are a variety of roads so you can avoid extreme off-road if you want. You can simply stroll around the city around Phewa Lake, Begnas, Rupa, Mahendra Cave, World Peace Pagoda, and other famous spots. With the mind-blowing backdrop of Annapurna and Fishtail, the cycle ride will give you an extra amazing feeling.
There are many renting shops offering exciting cycling (mountain biking) experiences to all cycling enthusiasts of all ages. They also offer various packages, which you can choose at your convenience. The most common one is a complete six hours of biking covering 45k for mount bikers. The trails are raw and wild including jungles, rough roads, hills, and monasteries. Throughout the journey, you get to enjoy the spectacular scenery of mount ranges, ridges, and the whole valley.
The ride will start from Lakeside and take you to the airport road, Mountain Museum, Dovilla, Bagmara, Lower Gagan Gauda, Raja Chautari, Rupa Lake, Begnas Lake, bus station, and again back to Lakeside.
On the way, you can take breaks, have lunch at local places, and take a lot of photographs of the incredible landscapes. No wonder, you will have a fantastic time cycling around green hills and forests. But before you head, make sure to check the riding essentials and follow proper precautions. For instance, carry the cycling helmet, towel, water bottle, good shoes & socks, and others you feel are needed. Likewise, you must have a quick check on your bike’s levers, brakes, wheels, tyres, and handset.
