Our representatives will receive you at the airport and drop you at your respective hotel. Later in the evening, you will get a detailed briefing about your journey. Also, you will meet your fellow travelers and get all the documentation done. Make sure you bring all the necessary documents like your passport, copies of photos, travel insurance copies, etc.

This day is allocated for a full-day Kathmandu exploration. You will visit the UNESCO-listed heritage sites like Durbar Square, Monkey Temple, and Boudhanath. Later, you can end your day witnessing the mythical aarati at Pashupatinath by the shore of the holy Bagmati river.

Your journey of the Explore Lhasa Tour officially begins. You will take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lhasa. It is going to be one of the most amazing adventures you’ll ever embark upon. Upon reaching Lhasa, you will explore its local area and also try delicious local cuisines.

Sightseeing in Lhasa: Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace, Tibet Museum

Since there are a lot of places to visit in Lhasa, you will get three full days for their exploration. You will begin with Potala Palace, which was the winter home of the Dalai Lama. Then, you will head to Norbulingka Palace, which was the summer home of the Dalai Lama. Lastly, you will explore the amazing artifacts, history, and culture of Tibet at the Tibet Museum.

Exploration of Ganden Monastery and Drayerpa Cave
Exploration of Ganden Monastery and Drayerpa Cave
You will start your morning with a refreshing stroll to Ganden Monastery. It’s at the top of Wangbur Mountain at 3800m It’s the oldest monasteries of the Gelugpa tradition in Tibetan Buddhism. Afterward, you will travel to Drayerpa cave. There, you can witness more than 30 caves where the Lamas practice meditation in its silent landscape.

Exploration of Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar
Exploration of Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Bazaar
For the next day, you will be visiting Drepung Monastery that was once home to 10,000 monks. You will then head to Sera monastery where you can enjoy impressive views of surroundings, white-washed walls, and golden roofs. You will end your day at Barkhor bazaar, which is the heart of Lhasa.
Day 7
Final Departure!
Final Departure!
Now, you have come to the end of your trip. You will take an early flight back to Kathmandu. After some rest and lunch, our representatives will drop you back at the airport for your flight back home.
