Day 1
Arrival Day in Kathmandu
Arrival Day in Kathmandu
Welcome upon your arrival to the city of temples. You will receive a warm welcome at the Tribhuvan International Airport. You will then check-in to your hotel and get a detailed plan of your trek. You will get your permits this day and meet fellow travelers, guides, and porters. Make sure to bring necessary documents like passport, copies of photos, travel insurance policy, etc.
Day 2
Trek Preparation and Kathmandu Valley Exploration
Trek Preparation and Kathmandu Valley Exploration
You’ll have a full day exploring Kathmandu Valley. On this trip, you will visit UNESCO enlisted World Heritage sites. It includes Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath. Not to forget this is also your prep day. You need to be ready for your journey the next day. Thus, pack your bags with all the necessary stuff and gears. If you are missing something, then you can buy them from hubs like Thamel.
Day 3
Flight to Pokhara (910m) and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1552m)
Flight to Pokhara (910m) and Trek to Tikhedhunga (1552m)
Your trip for the day begins with a half-hour flight to Pokhara. If you prefer to trace nature up close, you can also choose to take a drive. The scenic drive via private vehicle will take around 6-7 hours. Both options are amazing and let you experience unique things. This day is also your first trekking day. So, after Pokhara, you will head to Tikhedhunga. It will be 2-3 hours of drive and walk.
Day 4
 Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani (2850m)

Leaving Tikhedhunga, you will start walking towards Ulleri. You will discover villages like Birethati and Nangethanti on the way. There are also hundreds of stone staircases to climb up. Then, you will pass through the dense forest of rhododendron, oak, and magnolia. After the continuous ascend of 607 hours, you will reach Ghorepani. This beautiful village is home to native Magar and Gurungs.
Day 5
 Ghorepani - Poon Hill (3120m) - Tatopani (1190m)

You will wake early as you don’t want to miss the amazing sunrise. You will walk for about 2 hours to reach Poon Hill. You will enjoy the amazing sunrise and gorgeous view of the Himalayas from the top. Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna II, III, IV, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, Lamjung Himal, Gangapurna, Macchapucchre are some of them. Retracing the steps, you will walk back to Ghorepani and then head to Tatopani (Land of Hot Springs).
Day 6
Tatopani to Ghasa (2110m)

After a refreshing bath at Tatopani, you will head for another uphill climb. You head to another part of the trekking region. You will have a glimpse of Kali Gandaki and its deepest gorge. This experience is thrilling indeed. Next, the trails pass-through various settlements and waterfalls like Ruspe Chhahara. Walking for 5-6 hours, you will reach Ghasa. It is a Thakali village rich in ethnicity and alluring cultures.
Day 7
Ghasa to Marpha (2680m)
Ghasa to Marpha (2680m)
The trails begin with steep ascents by the side of Lete Khola. As you continue, awestrucking views of mountains and ridges appear. It is a long day walk as you will continue ascending for 5-6 hours. This day is another special day. You will reach the most beautiful settlement of this region; Marpha. This village of Apple Orchards offers a lot of adventures to endure and natural beauties to enjoy.
Day 8
Marpha to Kagbeni (2810m)
Marpha to Kagbeni (2810m)
The journey from Mapha to Kagbeni is an important day. It will be the walk of 4-5 hours along the dry and rough paths. You will pass via some amazing villages like Jomsom, Eklebatti before reaching Kagbeni. Kagbeni is a native settlement of Upper Mustang. It offers a series of stories that date back to prehistoric times. The unique and elegant tradition of locals is also something wonderful and worth delving into.
Day 9
Kagbeni to Muktinath (3710m)
Kagbeni to Muktinath (3710m)
This day is the ultimate moment of your Jomsom Muktinath Trek. You will hike after finishing your breakfast. Leaving Kagbeni, your trails proceeds to Khingar (3200m) and Jharkot village. Afterward, you will climb the next few ridges to Muktinath. This divine temple is a famous holy place for Hindus and Buddhists. Locals believe you will reach salvation in heaven right after stepping your feet here. Overnight at Muktinath!
Day 10
Muktinath to Jomsom (2715m)
Muktinath to Jomsom (2715m)
Your stay at Muktinath will be a fruitful one. Along with the views of magnetic vistas, you will also visit monasteries, gumbas, and holy lakes/spouts around. After a refreshing tour, you will retrace your steps. Reaching Jomsom, your journey comes to an end. Jomsom is another gem spot in this region. The views of Dhaulagiri, Tukuche, and Nilgiri from Jomsom are breathtaking. There, you also can visit some spectacular traditional markets vending antique souvenirs.
Day 11
Flight back to Pokhara From Jomsom
Flight back to Pokhara From Jomsom
This is your final day of the trek. You are in the beautiful part of your trek. Thus, you can spend your morning exploring its suburbs. After the exploration, you will take a flight back to Pokhara. This half an hour flight experience is delightful. Upon reaching Pokhara, you can traverse to many tourist destinations. You will enjoy your stay there.
Day 12
Return to Kathmandu via Flight/Drive

This is the final day of your journey. You have two options of return to Kathmandu. You can either take flight or take any private vehicle. The flight takes about half an hour while the drive takes 6-7 hours. As you know both options have good perks, the choice is all yours
