Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to the land of amazing culture & tradition! Upon your arrival, our representative will welcome you at the airport. Then, they will drop you at the hotel, where you will be taking a rest and meet fellow travelers of your group. You will also receive your permits so make sure to bring all the necessary documents like copies of your passport, insurance, and photos.
Day 2
Kathmandu Sightseeing and Exploration
Kathmandu Sightseeing and Exploration
As you're here in Kathmandu, the land of ethnic cultures & tradition, you got to explore them all. Hence, you will be visiting spots like Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, etc. All of them are listed in UNESCO’s World Heritage sites. After their exploration, you will get to know about their history and cultural significance.
Day 3
Take a Flight to Paro
Take a Flight to Paro
This day, you will head to Bhutan. Keep your cameras ready as you’re about to witness spectacular mountain views from your flight. Upon reaching Paro, you will take a little rest and then start exploring. You will visit the Ta Dzong, a famous watchtower, and the National Museum. There, you will see an extensive collection of antique paintings, armors, textiles, and historic artifacts.

Day Exploration to Taktsang Monastery
Taktsang monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest, is the popular legendary temple built on the sect of Nyingma and Drukpa Kagyu. You will explore its cultural and religious significance. As it’s located in the Himalayan region, you can thoroughly enjoy the scenery.

 Drive to Dzong and Trek to Sharna Zampa
Drive to Dzong and Trek to Sharna Zampa
Your trek officially begins as you head to Sharna Zampa. You will first get to Dzong and stroll around its legendary fortress. Then, the Sharna Zampa is your next destination, which presents the ancient remnants of bridges, houses, and chorten.
Day 6
Trek from Sharna Zampa to Soi Thangthanka
Trek from Sharna Zampa to Soi Thangthanka
You will reach Soi from Shara upon walking for about 6-8 hours. It would be a complete upstream trek through the ecological sanctuary to the meadow camp. You will also pass via a lot of alpine trails.
Day 7
Trek from Soi to Jangothang
Trek from Soi to Jangothang
This day, you will walk for about 6-7 hours covering about 22 kilometers. Jangothang or Chomolhari is also known to be ‘the bride of Kangchenjunga’. It’s one of the most spectacular places with the Himalayas to be and explore.

 Day Rest at Jangothang

Since there are a lot of walking days, acclimatization is necessary. So, a day’s rest at Jangothang would really be a great idea for exploration as well as adapting to higher altitudes.

Pass Nyile La (4890m) and Trek to Lingshi
Pass Nyile La (4890m) and Trek to Lingshi
Lingshi is a gewog or a small village block of Thimpu. It’s famous for the amazing view of mountainous peaks including Mt. Johomolharu and others around the borders of Bhutan. To get there, you will have to cover 16-17 km walking for about 6-7 hours.

 Trek to Chebisa

The trail to Chebisa includes a mixture of uphill and downhill crossing various high ridges. The village is very charming and showcases a typical way of the local lifestyle.

Trek to Shomuthang via Gombu la Pass (4400m)
Trek to Shomuthang via Gombu la Pass (4400m)
This day’s trail includes wide pastureland towards Gobu La. On the way, you will see people grazing yaks and other domestic herds. You need to brace yourself as you will be climbing a steep slope within higher altitudes.

You will be trekking to Robulathang leaving Shomuthang via Jhare La Pass, at 4780 meters.

Rhodophu is an amazing part of the trail located at 4120 meters. You will be walking about 19 kilometers for almost 7 hours via Lunana trail junction.

Following the higher altitudes amidst the Bhutanese Himalayas, you will head to Narethang. It’s the difficult stretch of your trek so you have to be careful.

Trek to Tarina via Karchung La Pass (5240m)

Tarina is famous for Tarina Tsho, one of the major lakes of Bhutan. Braches of Tarina also form Tarina glaciers, which is a visual retreat.

Woche is an important part of the Bhutan Snowman trek. You will climb via various ridges and settlements to get there. It will further welcome you with its wonderful scenery of panoramic snowy peaks.

Trek to Lhedi via Keshe La Pass (4435m)

It will take about 6-7 to reach Lhedi fron Woche. On the way, you will also pass Keshe La Pass, marked for fabulous panoramic views of alpine landscapes and peaks.

This day, your destination is Thanza village located within the Lunana region. It’s one of the remote and isolated villages of Bhutan. You can enjoy the natural wilderness and serenity there.

This day would indeed be the most notable day of the Bhutan Snowman trek. You will get to experience camping overnight on the Tshorim lake campsite. You will have a wonderful experience witnessing amazing crests and ridges up close.

Trek to Gangkhar Puensum Base Camp via Gophu La (5240m)

One of the major highlights of this trek! This stretch is unspoiled and remains to be high mountain wilderness.

Trek to Geshe Woma

Leaving the base camp, the trail further follows the Shu Chu. The beautiful mountains will always be on your backdrop as you descend gradually to Geshe Woma.

A long day journey to Worithang begins where you will continue uphill & downhill for 8 hours. You will also pass via Phorang La Pass at 4650 meters.

After a long & steady climb, you can enjoy the soothing hot spring bath at Dur Tshachu. You will have a great time here.

Duer Tshachu is famous for hot springs. So, you will get a full day to explore them and other scenic spots in Dur village.

It would be a long journey of 8 hours from Duer Tshachu to Tso Chenchen. You will pass via traditional alleys, monasteries, and Gonto La Pass at 4327 meters.

Trek to Duer Village and Drive to Bumthang

This day, you will retrace your way back to Duer village. Also, you will drive to Bumthang for further travel.

Bumthang Exploration and Drive to Thimphu
Bumthang Exploration and Drive to Thimphu
Bumthang is a typical village of Bhutan that represents their own simple & ethnic lifestyle. There are a lot of ancient monasteries you can visit like Tamshing Gompa, Lamae Gompa, etc. After exploration, you will drive to Thimphu on the same day.

Thimphu is the capital and largest city of Bhutan. Certainly, there are a lot of famous tourist spots to go to. Some of them are the National memorial chorten, Changangkha Lhakhang, National Folk Museum, and many more.

Drive to Paro

Now, after the whole schedule of exploring the Lunana Snowman trek, you’ll return to Paro. Whilst you’re there, you can also take a stroll to Kyushu Lhakhang, one of the oldest shrines in Bhutan. Similarly, there are numerous archery grounds where you can see a live match action. The wholesome experience in these last moments at Paro will certainly be awesome.

 Final Departure!

On your final day, you will be taking an early morning flight back to your country. Our representative will always be there to pick from the hotel and drop you at the airport.
