Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu and Transfer to Hotel

Welcome upon your arrival to the city of temples. You will receive a warm welcome at the Tribhuvan International Airport. You will then check-in to your hotel and get a detailed plan of your trek. You will get your permits this day and meet fellow travelers, guides, and porters. Make sure to bring necessary documents like passport, copies of photos, travel insurance policy, etc.

Sightseeing in Kathmandu and Preparation For The Trek
Sightseeing in Kathmandu and Preparation For The Trek
You’ll have a full day exploring Kathmandu Valley. On this trip, you will visit UNESCO enlisted World Heritage sites. It includes Durbar Square, Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath. Not to forget this is also your prep day. You need to be ready for your journey the next day. Thus, pack your bags with all the necessary stuff and gears. If you are missing something, then you can buy them from hubs like Thamel.
Day 3
Drive From Kathmandu to Besisahar via Syange (1100m)
Drive From Kathmandu to Besisahar via Syange (1100m)
This day will be a full drive day from Kathmandu to Besisahar. Your journey will be around 6-7 hours. You will pass via a small settlement Syange on your way. You will also get to enjoy the scenic views of gigantic peaks, green hills, rivers, and stunning landscapes.
Day 4
Syange to Dharapani (1860m)

You will begin your trekking after your breakfast. As it is the first day of your trek, you will begin slow. Make sure you are ready to face all types of ups and downs at your own pace. This is an important thing to remember while trekking at higher altitudes.

Trek From Dharapani to Chame (2710m)
Trek From Dharapani to Chame (2710m)
This part of the trek will begin with a gentle climb from Dharapani to Bagarchap. As the altitude of your path is rising, you can expect a lot of ascents on your way. While climbing up, you will pass via settlements like Danakyue, Temang, and Thaankchok. You wil enjoy the view of the Manaslu range on your backdrop. You will walk for about 5-6 hours until you reach Chame for nightstay.
Day 6

Trek to Pisang (3300m)
On the third day, you will pass the altitude of 3000 meters. You should be more careful about altitude sickness after reaching that height. Thus, you should be drinking water in regular time and opt for frequent body rest. While walking towards Pisang, you walk through some exotic forest and places like Brathang. You shall reach Pisang after 5-6 hours. This point onward you will enter the Upper Manang.

You will continue to walk toward the drier parts of Manang. On the way to such terrains, you will visit villages like Ghyaru and Ngawal. You will also face a lot of cliffs that have unique structures. Some of them even have religious importance. You can even visit the oldest monastery (about 500 years old) at Bragha village. Within 5-6 hours of walking and climbing, you will reach Manang.

Acclimatization at Manang (3540m)
Acclimatization at Manang (3540m)
As said earlier, the chances of getting altitude sickness are more at higher altitudes (above 3000m). To avoid such a disaster, you need to take a day break and adapt to the environment. For that purpose, you will stay at Manang for an extra day. You can utilize this acclimatization time by exploring Bodzo Gopa or Gangapurna Lake.
Day 9
Manang to Kangshar (3700m)
Manang to Kangshar (3700m)
On this day, you will proceed through the western part of Annapurna following the river. Then after crossing a long suspension bridge, you will see coniferous forest. Rich in natural beauty, you will get a calming feel walking through it. As walking part for this day is short i.e. about 3-4 hours, you have enough time to rest at Kangshar.

Another special day of your trek will begin as you cross a whopping altitude of 4000 meters. The whole way will take around 5-6 hours. On your way to Tilicho Base Camp, you will traverse via different ridges. You will visit some ancient gompas too.
Day 11

You will head towards Tilicho Lake from Tilicho Base Camp. It is going to be a long day as you will walk for 7-8 hours. Thus, you also need to be careful while climbing. You have to make sure you bring all necessary trekking gear and ensure their quality. Following up, you can explore various typicalties of the trek. You will witness a serene lake, its pristine surrounding, and scenic mountain views.
Day 12

You will start early as you need to ascend above 5000 meters. It is going to be an exhausting day. Passing Mesokanta La will be its interesting part. It would be good if you could cross this part as early as possible. After noon, there are chances of strong winds that might create obstacles.
Day 13
Yak Kharka to Jomsom (2700m)

The whole day of descending begins as you walk down aside the beautiful Kali Gandaki. You are at Kangandaki valley. Kangandaki is the deepest gorge of the world. On your way, you get views of settlements including Marpha, Syang, Dhumba, Tahini, etc.

Early Flight to Pokhara and Day Rest

It is your final day of the trek. You are in the beautiful part of your trek. Jomsom has contrasting highlights and full of unique landscapes. Thus, you can spend your morning exploring its suburbs. After the exploration, you will take a flight back to Pokhara. The half an hour flight experience is delightful. Upon reaching Pokhara, you can traverse to many tourist destinations. You will enjoy your stay there.

Here comes the final day of your journey. You have two options of return to Kathmandu. You can either take flight or take any private vehicle. The flight takes about half an hour while the drive takes 6-7 hours. As you know both options have good perks, the choice is all yours!

Kathmandu Exploration
Kathmandu is the hub of typical heritages and cultures. There are a lot of new experiences to try on here. Thus, it is highly recommended to stay in Kathmandu for an extra day. You can celebrate your accomplishment this day and even go shopping to buy souvenirs. You won't regret spending this day in the capital city.
